Message From the Principal:

This is truly an exciting time for all of us, as we establish the traditions, customs, and culture of this new school for our students, now, and for generations to come.

As we look toward the future, we are committed to establishing academic excellence at Fairfax by providing an environment in which all students will be successful by meeting and exceeding Arizona state academic standards and graduation requirements.  We are also committed to facilitating college-level skill development and access to college preparatory courses for all students in a concerted effort to move our student's into a post-secondary education.  Moreover, we firmly believe that along with high academic expectations for our students, it is essential that we develop the whole child by instilling a strong character foundation, establishing one-on-one relationships, and providing connections to their school by encouraging participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and athletics.  Research has proven that students that build a strong relationship with their school, while being challenged with high academic rigor, demonstrate better grades, attendance and behavior, in addition to graduating and attending college at a higher rate than their counterparts.

It is critical and expected that our parents and guardians become actively involved in their child's educational development.  As a support mechanism for this, we will provide early and frequent contact updates on your child's academic and social progress throughout the school year.  We strongly encourage all of our parents and guardians to join our parent-teacher organization (PTO) as a means of building an important connection to our school community.  We will meet the second Tuesday of each month (beginning in September) at 6:30 p.m. in the library, please make the commitment to join us and contribute to the development and growth of our school.

We look forward to working with you as we build the foundation for success at Fairfax "One student at a time."
